Internships

The tourism and hospitality industry is an evolving, global industry that can take you places, both in your career and personally, as you travel the world and work for some of the most exciting companies in the industry. The capstone of the Bachelor of Arts in International Hotel Management degree is the Hospitality Internship. Our interns secure positions both internationally and within Canada which may be paid or unpaid. With a minimum twelve week internship as a requirement to complete your degree you are welcome to consider internships beyond a three month duration to advance your career.

There is a lot to learn beyond the classroom when you study tourism and hospitality and there is no greater multicultural learning environment than creating a midnight dinner event for guests on the beach in Thailand or serving guests in some of the most starkly beautiful landscapes in the world, these experiences will set the stage for an amazing future.
The Internships at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management will give you an unique learning experience to apply the skills and knowledge gained in the classroom—and we encourage it. Our experienced Royal Roads team and industry partners will guide and support you, and together we will journey to a new understanding of what it means to be a leader in this industry.
Join us on campus. Travel the world. Then change it.
